Kaviya Raja is an author and storyteller born in 2004. She is a San Francisco Bay Area native and is a senior in high school actively pursuing an interest in writing and literature. 

 

At age 15, she published her first book, a collection of memoirs titled The Road to Growth. Her other works and short stories have been published in various magazines and blogs.

She is a regular member of the Sacred Grounds Cafe's open mic located in Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco. Her readings consist of writing excerpts from her book and her personal poetry. She is also a member of the Bay Area Poetry Coalition located in Berkeley, CA. She gave a TEDx talk about the importance of writing in March of 2021.
